SLC to ATL to Dublin to bus to Galway to taxi to apartment!

My cute bed
Wednesday, August 31st: I had my layover for two hours in ATL and then boarded the plan to Dublin. On the plan I got to watch Something Borrowed which was fun because I just finished the book and wanted to see the movie. (Read the book its awesome! The movie is nothing like the book but still good.) Then I luckily fell asleep for about 5 hours before landing at 10am in Dublin. Getting through customs was really easy, Ireland has basically an open door policy :P Then it was off to get bags which was surprisingly easy because they had free carts which I took full advantage of. Then I found the express bus to Galway and loaded my luggage and hopped on board. The drive only took 2 and a half hours which was not bad considering the internet said it would take 4 hours. Once there I took a taxi to my apartment and checked in. Then I went and dropped my bags off and immediately went out with roommates and other study abroad students in search of local cell phones. Overall a very successful trip and all 8 of us ended up with the exact same phones on the same networks. Then one of my roommates and I went to Ireland's version of Target and I got my bedding, towels and other essentials and then went back to the apartment to unpack. There are 6 of us living in the apartment each with our own rooms and 3 of us have our own bathrooms (thank god I do!). Later we went to dinner at an American restaurant because we didn't want to have to go find anything and then we went back to "Target" for a quick trip for hangers and I finally bought some food for the house. Now I am almost completely unpacked (except for the 10 items of clothing that need to be hung up because 30 hangers weren't enough). So now after a million hours of being awake I am finally off to sleep! Good night!

I'm leavin' on a jet plane...

Tuesday, August 30th: I can't believe I'm actually going to Ireland! I'm sitting in the Salt Lake City Airport and it doesn't even feel real! I have to fly from SLC to ATL and then ATL to Dublin and then a bus to Galway! I can't wait to see my roommates, my apartment and just Ireland in general! I still feel like I'm just flying back to Richmond for school. I'm nervous and excited to get to the Ireland and onto the bus. But I know once I'm there I'll just be excited! I can't wait!!!
